Moshe and Rabbi Abraham are feeling peckish after the Erev Shabbat service and nip into the Chinese takeaway on the way home. The Rabbi isn't sure what is and isn't kosher so he goes for a safe option - fish and chips. He then watches and listens incredulously as Moshe orders prawn crackers, spare ribs, and sweet and sour pork.
The food arrives and, once they have left the takeaway, the Rabbi can scarcely contain himself. "What are you doing ordering all that stuff? Whatever next - bacon sandwiches on Yom Kippur?"
Very calmly, Moshe replies, "Were you watching and listening as I placed my order?"
"Of course I was," replied the rabbi, "I was standing right next to you."
"Well then," said Moshe, "It's not a problem, is it? It was under supervision."
